OIRM embraces collaboration, and its’ research and training portfolio is centred around building effective partnerships to best leverage our funding. This approach allows us to support a larger number of research projects and clinical trials.

Despite the effects of COVID-19 on the global economy last year, $20B USD was raised for Regenerative Medicine (RM) in 2020 – shattering all previous annual financing records. Global market predictions are projected to reach $77B USD by 2035. RM is driving significant economic benefits through commercialization of these breakthroughs, fueling a new industry in cell manufacturing, and generating thousands of new jobs for highly skilled personnel (HQP). OIRM has demonstrated its’ ability to do this and could play a critical role in Ontario’s economic recovery.
